Building a Community of Care: TrueHugz at the CaringWheels Launch
On 26 July 2025, TrueHugz was delighted to be part of the official launch of CaringWheels at imPAct@Hong Lim Green, an inspiring afternoon dedicated to celebrating, connecting, and empowering caregivers in Singapore.
CaringWheels is a nonprofit organisation that aims to support family caregivers through the provision of respite solutions such as medical chaperone, transportation, care companionship and community.
By building a compassionate ecosystem where caregivers from all walks of life can access education, share lived experiences, enjoy collective buying benefits, and find emotional support.
Through its Caregiving Growth Circle, the launch event brought together caregivers, volunteers, partners, and advocates with one shared belief: caregivers deserve care too.
Creating Space for Caregivers to Grow
From the moment registration opened at 1:30pm, the venue was filled with warmth and anticipation. After a light hearted icebreaker, the CaringWheels team introduced their mission to create a trusted hub for learning, connection and support for caregivers caring for loved ones with chronic illness, disability, or age-related needs.
The afternoon featured heartfelt segments, including:
• A Member of CaringWheels, Lucas Leow’s moving book sharing, “Locked In” — a deeply personal account of caring for his wife, Josephine, who lived with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Lucas spoke of the love, faith, and resilience that carried them through, reminding everyone that caregiving is not only about facing illness, but also about living fully and finding joy in the journey.
• Growthbeans — introducing their work in emotional wellness and peer facilitation, helping caregivers nurture their mental health while supporting others.
• imPAct@Hong Lim Green — highlighting their role as an inclusive, accessible space for community-led initiatives like CaringWheels.
One of the most powerful parts of the event was the Growth Circles which was facilitated by the team from GrowthBeans.
Intimate group sessions where caregivers and community members came together to share stories, reflect, and offer encouragement in a safe, nurturing environment. CaringWheels will have more of such Growth Circles over time, so be sure to catch future sessions if you would like to be part of this community that supports caregivers.
As a brand founded by both caregivers and users, TrueHugz felt a deep resonance with these voices, from families standing by loved ones through illness, to individuals juggling the relentless demands of care alongside their own personal challenges, and those seeking deeper meaning and purpose beyond the act of caregiving itself.
Hearing these stories reaffirmed why TrueHugz exists: not only to provide premium, breathable adult diapers, but also to stand alongside our community as a supportive, stigma-free incontinence care partner in Singapore.
The day ended with a Dreamboard-making session, where participants expressed hopes for themselves, their loved ones, and the nation’s future. These contributions will form part of a national collective dreamboard of 6,000 dreams in celebration of SG60, Singapore’s 60th birthday, a fitting reminder that community is built on shared vision and care.

Our presence at the CaringWheels launch was more than just event participation; it was a renewal of our promise to:
